The details of your Will are usually worked out at the kitchen table over a cup of coffee and toast. Your Will directs to whom you wish to give your estate at your death. Not everyone needs a Will. But if you want to have a say about who is in charge of managing your estate, or who will receive your estate and in what proportions, then you need a Will. Do not find a form on-line and write your own Will. Have a lawyer do it for you.

The savings you will receive by paying the lawyer to write your Will should far exceed the expense of probating your estate after a mistake is made. Just because you have a Will does not mean you will not have a Probate. Many people are confused about Probate. A Will directs the Court to whom you wish to leave your estate. Probate is the process to follow to ensure that your wishes in the Will are carried out.
