Presentation on estate planning for the disabled individual and their families. A special needs person can both retain their own assets and also inherit assets all while keeping their supportive benefits received from the county, state and federal programs. Special Needs Trusts are the answer. They are tricky but worth the effort.  Also, some special needs persons have mental health issues as their disability. These persons present even greater challenges starting with “I don’t have a problem”. We will explore accessing benefits for the mentally ill with success and hopeful outcomes.
